Each nomination should be made by one Nominator with the support of two to three Seconders. The Nominator, the Seconders and the Nominee will need to complete the Nomination Form.

Who can be the Nominators?
 
You can act as a Nominator in your personal capacity if you are-
 
a school head;
a colleague of the Nominee(s);
a peer of the Nominee(s) ; or
an experienced educator.

 

 
Can a teacher nominate himself or herself?
 
We accept self-nomination.

 
Who can be the Seconders?
 
You can act as a Seconder in your personal capacity if you are
 
a school head;
a colleague of the Nominee(s);
a peer of the Nominee(s);
an experienced educator; or
a parent

 

 
Each nomination (including self-nomination) should have at least two, but not more than three, Seconders.

 
 

When is the nomination period?
 
Nominations are invited from 3 November 2003 to 15 January 2004.
 
Can we nominate a group of teachers?
 
We accept nomination of a group of not more than 5 teachers from the same or different schools. If a teaching practice has been developed by a group with more than five members, the group has to nominate among themselves up to five "core members" or "representatives". This will facilitate the consideration of the nomination by the Assessment Panel.
 

What if a teacher is nominated twice or more by different Nominators?
 
If more than one Nominator have nominated him/her, the teacher concerned has to decide which nomination he/she should accept.

Should the Nomination Form be prepared in both Chinese and English?
 
The Nomination Form can be prepared either in Chinese or in English.
 
How to submit the Nomination Form?
 
Completed Forms should be submitted-
 
   
  in person or by post to the Quality Education Fund Secretariat, Room 3602, 36/F, Hopewell Centre, 183 Queen's Road East, Wan Chai, Hong Kong (please mark" ATE Nomination" on the envelope); or
  by fax to the Quality Education Fund Secretariat (Fax No.: 2530 4451)

on or before 15 January 2004.

Is it necessary to submit documentary "evidence" when submitting the nomination?
 
It is not necessary to submit documentary "evidence" together with the nomination. The "evidence" needs to be listed out only. However, such "evidence" should be made ready before the nomination is submitted so that they can be presented to the Assessment Panel in case it is required for consideration.
